The crypto correction (crash, dip, whatever you want to call it) is here in full force, with Bitcoin barely hovering above $8,000 and most altcoins 60% off their all-time highs. With the market getting smashed right now, I'm taking a step back to set myself up for future success. Here is how I'm doing it:
1. Consolidating my positions of highest conviction
2. Doubling down on research.. Now is the time in my opinion to really deepen your understanding and knowledge of the crypto markets.

According to the mainstream media, the crypto markets are done, everything will go to zero and we're all dummies for ever buying crypto. Howevvaaa, here's why I think that's a total joke and why the media is also just throwing stories at random things trying to explain market movements. Let's also talk about Ethereum's rise back up to prominence and the potential (trigger warning Bitcoin maximalists) #Flippening.
Lastly, I read through the NULS whitepaper and while it was interesting, I wasn't incredibly impressed. If your a fan of NULS, I'd love your thoughts on it and why you like it, as my mind is certainly not set in stone!

With the general crypto bear market that's occurred, it's been interesting to watch the fading of interest on Google Trends. Does the slowing interest mean we're in trouble? Also, when people look for the "Next Ethereum", often times it's at transactions per second, throughput, added features, etc. However, one should consider ICO's occurring on the platform as an important leading indicator of success. Let's talk about that today!

US regulators sent subpoenas to Bitfinex and Tether, back on December 6th, and the news has shaken the crypto markets. Some people aren't even slightly worried, while others are totally panicked. CoinCheck was recently hacked for over $500 MILLION worth of NEM, once again showing the dangers of storing your crypto on a centralized exchange. Coinbase has long dominated the crypto to fiat on-ramp, but a new player is joining the party.. Robinhood, the zero trade fee mobile stock app is beginning to support crypto in February, and might provide some much needed competition to Coinbase.
