Today, we learned that Circle is spinning out Poloniex after acquiring the exchange for $400 MILLION less than two years ago. Not only is Poloniex spinning out, but it is EXCLUDING US customers in the new version of the exchange, effective in a few weeks. So what happened with Poloniex, was it a rough regulatory environment like Circle said, a lack of innovation, or a lot more?
